Terms & Conditions

The Terms and conditions listed are NON-NEGOTIABLE

  1. We will provide up to 30 minutes hour set-up time, prior to the event. Any extra time required will be charged.

  2. Please make sure to cover the tables with tablecloths that are at least 5 feet by 5 feet in size.

  3. The Hall must be cleared, cleaned and vacated before your event end time.

  4. All rubbish from the Hall must be cleared by the Hirers before your event end time. It should be deposited into the bin bags that are provided. The public bin location will be notified on the event day. Bin bags must not be left in or around the entrance of the hall.

  5. No smoking is permitted within the Hall and anywhere within the building. This includes e-cigarettes, vapes, etc.

  6. Music volume levels must be at a reasonable level and not disturbing the neighbours. If complaints are received then the event will be stopped and closed down immediately.

  7. SVA Charity Member hire charges - £30 per hour
Must be a valid continued member for three months to qualify for the member hire charge

  8. SVA Charity Non-Member hire charges - £50 per hour

  9. Any hall hire extensions beyond the end of the event booking time, must be notified to the team three hours prior to the event end booking time. Any extensions will be charged at full hourly rate of £75 per hour

  10. Any Hall hire charges during bank holidays and festive periods will be £100 per hour for members and non-members

  11. Surround Sound System (Aux connection with fixed sound settings) - £50

  12. A refundable deposit of £120 will apply to all bookings. This deposit will be added to the Hire Charge. This deposit will be refunded within 14 working days subject to a full inspection for damages by the hall management team and no breaches of the terms and conditions (See Overrun Rules above)

  13. Administration and logistics costs incurred by the charity apply to all bookings - £40 (Compulsory)

  14. Hall is available until midnight (12am) on Saturday. (Sunday to Friday until 11pm only)

  15. The Fire Exit is the main entrance and is located at the front of the hall (Kingsbury Road)

  16. The hirer must adhere to Health and Safety regulations and is solely responsible/liable for any damages incurred in the Function Room to SVA of UK. Children must be supervised at all times and no liability shall be accepted by SVA of UK.

  17. Access to the HALL is from the FRONT Staircase only. This is the entry and exit point for all attendees.

  18. Please be aware that at present there is NO DISABLED ACCESS available. 

  19. If the hirers are using external suppliers for the event, each supplier must provide Public Liability Insurance confirmation covering their services. This must be emailed in advance of the event.

  20. Capacity must not exceed 120 people including children of all ages. No bouncy castles are permitted in the Hall premises.

  21. Fire regulations must be adhered to and no lighting of fires, candles, etc., unless prior consent is given by SVA of UK. Smoke machines are prohibited.

  22. Overrun Rule: If the event overruns beyond the booking time (even if it is over by one minute!), the full deposit of £120 will be retained and this will be non-negotiable

  23. Kitchen is to be only used for heating up food. Strictly no cooking, no frying, no live food stations are allowed.

  24.   The use of confetti, glitter, poppers, cannons, or any similar items is strictly prohibited within the hall.  

  25. Please note this is a vegetarian only facility. Strictly no meat, fish, poultry or eggs are allowed in the venue.

  26. There are no refunds for the hall bookings under any circumstances. Subject to availability, you do have the right to move the date of the event
